Korsan Cove
Korsan Cove is a small and clean bay located in the west of Gelidonya Lighthouse in Kumluca district of Antalya. It is the natural harbor of the ancient city of Melanippe, which is only 25 meters wide, sandwiched between two rocks, one side of which is Adresan on the other and Olympos. | In ancient times, the reverse currents on the Gelidonya nose unintentionally dragged all the passing ships to this bay. It got its name from the use of sheep by pirates. At the same time, the fact that Korsan Bay is not affected by any storm has made it a sheltered harbor for ships. | In order to reach this magnificent bay, you will travel to Belen junction with a beautiful Mediterranean view and then continue on the dirt road. You will have to leave your vehicle near the entrance of the bay and walk for another 15 minutes to reach this hidden paradise. Entrance is free. We recommend that you bring everything you will need with you, as there is no other business other than the toaster car at the entrance. |
